Openings
Create a new opening
Create the opening
Start with the opening name, public name, description, and any other core details that should define the role.
- Use a title that is clear internally and externally.
- Do the first pass in one session so the opening is not saved half-finished.
Choose the workflow and defaults
Assign the workflow that should move applicants through the hiring process, then add default source or campaign values only if they improve reporting.
- Use the default workflow only if it actually matches the role.
- Skip source defaults when they add noise instead of useful reporting.
Check the public slug
The public slug affects the job URL. Make sure it is readable, available, and not more specific than it needs to be.
- Use a slug based on the role, not a temporary internal nickname.
- Fix the slug before saving if it is awkward or likely to be reused badly later.
Review the opening after saving
After the opening is created, confirm the workflow, description, and public-facing details are correct before the link is shared broadly.
- Check the internal detail view before sending anyone to the public page.
- Use the openings list as the final check that the role was created in the right place.
