Applications

Manage public applications and questionnaires

Start with the opening

Open openings

Open the role and confirm the public title, description, slug, workflow, and attribution defaults before sharing the application link.

  1. Use a public title applicants will recognize.
  2. Keep the description specific enough that candidates can decide whether to apply.
  3. Use source or campaign defaults only when they improve reporting.

Collect only the information the team will use

Open questionnaires

Application forms work best when required fields, custom fields, and questions match a real review decision.

  1. Add custom fields for structured data recruiters need on the applicant record.
  2. Use questionnaires for repeatable screening questions or evaluation forms.
  3. Remove questions that do not affect screening, scheduling, or reporting.

Check the applicant-facing experience

Open application branding

Review branding, layout, and success messaging before sending the link to a job board or candidate.

  1. Confirm the company logo, colors, opening name, and recruiting name are correct.
  2. Submit a test application when making larger form changes.
  3. Make sure the success message tells applicants what happens next.

Use the applicant record as the source of truth

Open applicants

After applications arrive, review each candidate from the applicant profile so resume, fields, questions, notes, messages, and history stay together.

  1. Use folders and statuses to keep the queue manageable.
  2. Keep decisions and follow-up on the record instead of in side documents.
