Manage user access and billing

Create or edit the user

Open users

Open the user record when someone needs access, a role changes, or an invite needs cleanup.

  1. Use Manager only for people who should manage company-level settings.
  2. Use Admin when someone needs selected admin access without full manager control.
  3. Keep User for day-to-day recruiting access with fewer admin permissions.

Choose admin sections deliberately

Admin section access should match the work the person is responsible for.

  1. Grant only the sections the admin needs.
  2. Leave Billing off unless the person should view or manage subscription details.
  3. Review admin sections again when a person changes teams or responsibilities.

Use billing access sparingly

Open billing

Billing controls affect subscription setup, status, payment flow, cancellation, and promotion codes.

  1. Managers can access billing by default.
  2. Admins need explicit Billing section access.
  3. Users without billing access should not see the billing option in navigation.

Verify the user experience

After saving permissions, confirm the user can reach the sections they need and cannot reach sections they should not manage.

  1. Ask the user to sign out and back in if navigation does not update immediately.
  2. Check the user dropdown for Billing only when billing access was granted.
