Register SignalWire A2P messaging

Prepare the registration information

Open SignalWire registration documentation

Gather the exact legal and messaging information before opening the wizard. SignalWire compares the business identity, website, consent flow, campaign description, and sample messages for consistency.

  1. Use the legal company name and Tax ID exactly as they appear on official records.
  2. Make sure the website identifies the company and provides current contact information.
  3. Document where applicants enter their phone number and agree to receive SMS.
  4. Confirm the SignalWire project has a payment method for registration and campaign fees.

Open Messaging Campaigns and add a brand

Log in to SignalWire, select the project that owns the CareerATS number, and open Messaging Campaigns. From the Brands tab, click + New and create a managed brand.

Complete the Add Brand wizard with the company’s verified legal information.

Enter and verify the company brand

Complete Company Details, Company Contact, and Legal using accurate business records. Review every field before submitting because errors can result in an unverified brand.

  1. Use a unique EIN for the legal business being registered.
  2. Use a direct phone number and monitored email address for the authorized contact.
  3. Use the company applicants recognize as the sender—not CareerATS or SignalWire.

Create a recruiting campaign

After the brand is verified, open Campaigns and click + New. A campaign represents one messaging use case, so select the category that most accurately describes applicant communication.

Describe the applicant messaging program

Explain who receives messages, why they receive them, and what CareerATS sends. Complete every wizard section with information that matches the applicant experience.

  1. Example: Example Recruiting LLC sends application updates, recruiter replies, and interview scheduling messages to applicants who consent during the application process.
  2. Explain each opt-in method, including web applications or applicant-initiated texts.
  3. Describe message frequency and include the Terms and Privacy Policy links when requested.

Submit and monitor the campaign

Submit the campaign and monitor its status in Messaging Campaigns. SignalWire says registration commonly takes three to five business days, though review can take less or more time.

  1. If rejected, compare the reason with the website, consent language, description, and samples.
  2. Contact SignalWire support before repeated submissions when the required correction is unclear.

Assign the CareerATS phone number

After approval, assign the SignalWire 10DLC number used by CareerATS to the campaign. New assignments may remain pending while SignalWire completes carrier provisioning.

  1. Select the approved recruiting campaign and the same number configured in CareerATS.
  2. Wait for the number to become active before testing outbound applicant messages.
  3. Test delivery, replies, HELP, and STOP with an internal number before messaging applicants.
